Mmmm, will my baby have green or brown eyes?

It’s nearly a year since this gorgeous face has been lighting up our lives. That’s 12 months of heart fluttering  pride each time I remember that I’m a proud mum of 3 beautiful boys and 12 months of watching my last baby grow into a mischievous, cheeky but incredibly happy little chap.

Our older boys have inherited my dark brown eyes and as Baby R was so similar to them were as babies, we presumed he’d just follow suit. However as he’s settling into his forever colour, somedays it’s looking more and more like he’s joining the team green with his Dad. I’m still none the wiser if my baby will have green or brown eyes.

Now, we’ve just got to work out who the mullet’s after?

Maybe they will be hazel? My babies both had very blue eyes at birth, which then slowly changed. My daughter has brown eyes like her dad, but my son’s are more like yours, a sort of green but sometimes brown a bit of a mix and they have stayed that way. I have blue eyes so I am the odd one out! 😉

We tend to joke that my husband’s eye colour changes with his moods so I’m wondering if Baby R will switch between the 2?

aww what a cutey! He definitely has a little of both colours doesn’t he? Gorgeous whichever way they go and beautifully written post 🙂 thanks for linking with #MaternityMondays

Thanks Caroline, yes it’s a wonder which way he’ll go.

oooooh, I say hazel! My lo’s eyes got lighter and lighter blue quite fast – like his daddy – they are a lovely pale silver blue now 🙂

I don’t know, I think you might have another one for team brown. The Tot is two and I swear her eye colour is still changing. It looks like she’s settling for grey/blue eyes but every now an then I see a flash of green like me #MaternityMondays

I’m sure the older 2 had changed by this age, this little chaps just keeping me guessing!

It’s amazing how small kids eye colours change, my daughter is coming up for six and seems to have hints of brown (or hazel really) creeping into her previously Grey colourng.

Gosh, I didn’t realise they can keep changing. My older 2 just settled into brown quite early on.

I’m gonna say hazel. My 2yo has blue eyes but then both me and hubs have blue eyes so I guess that’s to be expected, my limited memories of school science suggest she wouldnt get anything else??!

Look at that sweet face! Both my husband and I have green eyes, yet our daughter has hazel and our 2 sons have bright blue. Who knows? haha!

I found you on the #mummymonday link up. I look forward to reading more!

I was kinda hoping he’d follow his brothers but it’s nice for his Dad if he had one of his children looking like him.

I’m going to agree here and say hazel too! They look (on the screen anyway) like they’re heading that way 🙂

Yes, I agree definitely looking more hazel in this photo

Blue or green eyes, he is so very handsome! So many moments to cherish; I look at my 15m old and I can’t believe it still. Where did all the time go? Of course, I was told it would go fast in those early days but I just couldn’t see it then. I try to soak more of the seconds in now. Keep enjoying your beautiful family. #aNoviceMumCommentLuv

It just flies by doesn’t it. I wish I could freeze frame the baby moments but then I love every stage. I miss those sleepy newborn snuggles though.

Sorry, but I agree with everyone else! They look hazel, but with a slight hint of green. My mum was the odd one out in our family; myself, my 3 siblings and my dad all have blue eyes and she has brown! And there’s nothing wrong his mullet, it’s so cute! #mummymonday x
