    Creating Christmas Eve Memories

Turn your back for a second……

Turn your back for a second……

……and who knows where Baby R will be.

At nearly 12 months old his powers of stealth & determination never cease to amaze (& scare) me. If there’s one thing I’ve learnt in being a mum to a mischievous monkey, it’s never under estimate what he can do. If he wants it, he’ll do everything in his power to get it.

We now have an empty bedroom window cill as he can reach everything on it & what he hasn’t already destroyed in his inquisitive adventures, is hidden out of reach on top my wardrobe.

Cupboard locks in the kitchen are a necessity  and where we can’t fit them, we improvise;

The dog bowl is kept outside ;

And emptying the dishwasher takes careful planning and clever methods of distraction (which usually involve bribing him over to something else equally appealing but under strict supervision.)

Do you have an inquisitive baby?
I’m linking in with Wicked Wednesday’s.

Would You Like To Nominate me?

Tots100 MAD Blog Awards

I’m chuffed to nuts to have been nominated in the baby and school days categories but now I just need some votes, if you have 2 minutes spare I’d be delighted if you could pop over and vote for me!

      Eyes in the back of my head would be a blessing some days

    Its amazing how they find stuff to cause havoc with. Anyone would think they don’t get any toys.

    • 23rd May 2015 / 2:04 pm

      I know, he’s really not that interested in most of his toys, much preferring anything i don’t want him to have.

    Haha! They get everywhere don’t they. I have had to momentarily stop buying nice things as anything that isn’t glued down is ‘investigated’. And unfortunately my 4 year old is cleverer than a cupboard lock! x

      Oh no! Things are getting trashed left right & centre here too!

    • 20th May 2015 / 2:13 pm

      I’m trying to keep one step ahead of him but he’s good, very good!

    If only you could be everywhere and see everything. Although o have days that I’m happy that I don’t see everything unfold. :/ #wickedwednesday

      Some days I just watch with a careful eye to see what exactly he is trying to do!

  6. 20th May 2015 / 7:50 pm

    Aww! How cute…..You need eyes in the back of your head with little ones x

  7. 20th May 2015 / 9:35 pm

    So true! My littlest is just the same, things are moved higher, locked away and put behind closed doors (thankful he can’t reach the door handle yet!). 🙂 x

      He’s so happy all the time you just can’t get cross with him. He is a monkey though!

  8. 22nd May 2015 / 1:03 pm

    It looks like my littles are the same ! 😉 Never turn back, never ! 😉

    • 22nd May 2015 / 10:32 pm

      The mess he manages to create is relentless & he’s the littlest in the house!
