Trespass Sutton Mens Ski Jacket | A review

Trespass Sutton Mens Ski Jacket | A review

With a drop in temperatures this week, came a perfectly timed parcel delivery. The teenager was in need of  a warmer coat having out grown his and I’ve learnt the hard way not to choose his clothes for him,  giving my fashion conscious son free reign on his choice from the Trespass website.

He opted for a Sutton mens ski jacket, a simple, understated design with a slight resembelence to the down jackets I’ve been lusting after recently, not that I dared tell him I liked it, but I was secretly glad he chose something which wouldn’t dated too quickly and one that I may be able to borrow now and then. Black for school is always a good option too.

It’s light weight but keeps the heat in, ideal for an active teenager who detests wearing anything bulky and heavy, (or being on the ski slopes for which this jacket is intended)  We usually end up in a debate, of sorts, each time he goes out the house to the tune of something like this;

“don’t forget your coat, it’s going to rain” (me)

“It’s not raining, I don’t need it” (teenager)

“No, but it’s forecast so take it with you”

“hurrumphh, why do you always make me take a coat, I hate carrying it around, I’m not taking it”

“put it in your bag”

“Hurumphhh, grumble, grumble..”

You get the picture. Luckily we’ve not had this debate yet, so I’m guessing that A – he’s more than happy to be seen out and about wearing it in front of friends and B – if he’s not wearing it, he’s not moaning about it being too heavy in his rucksack! He’s also still marvelling at the extra features he’s found.

Number one, has to be the mobile phone pocket within easy reach and earshot. No excuses for missing my calls now so that gets a thumbs up from me too.

Closely followed by the adjustable cuffs. We’ve got chilly weather heading our way so should it make a rare appearance in Devon, then there’s little chance of it falling down his sleeves when he makes snowballs.

The Sutton Mens Ski Jacket also comes with a detachable hood, but as this belongs to a teenager, the hood will be staying put as any parent or carer of a teen will appreciate that it’s a vital feature and will not won’t be put down for or love nor money.

With 2 zipped side pockets and an inner ski skirt panel with adjustable poppers if functions well as a ski jacket but sadly wearing the clothes (and only half of them at that) is as far as we’ll get to the slopes this year. If you are looking however, Trespass have an awesome sale on at the moment.

We were sent a Trespass Mens Sutton ski jacket for the purpose of this review, all words and photos are entirely my own.

    This coat looks so good on the teenager! I have all this to come with a boy of 5 who hates shopping and knows what he likes! Lovely post. Lizzie xo

      It’s surprising how quickly you get to this point.
