Our weekend strolls have a new walking companion. Where once he slept peacefully in the sling or watched the world go by from his buggy this little chap now wants to be out and about, exploring for himself. Our inquisitive toddler has a zest for life and a thirst for adventure without an off button in sight. Every leaf, every stick, every dog which passes gets a thorough inspection.
Just this week I have admitted defeat and been looking out for reins. He’s happy to hold your hands for a while but there are times when he just wants to be off, but the more he walks, the more tired his little legs get and that’s when the accidents start.
I found a video on my phone today of him just taking the first few steps. Wobbling about like a new baby deer then falling to the floor. How far my baby has come in 6 short months is amazing, as he climbs the sofa and negotiates the stairs even turning your back for a second isn’t an option. I joke that I’m going to put my FitBit on him one day, but in all honesty I’m a little worried that I’ll have a strong contender for my Miles 4 Mamma challenge
But we wouldn’t have him any other way, our cheeky, lively, loveable Toddler.
I’m linking in with the Living Arrows project and Point and Shoot.
