The 52 Project -week 4

This week’s photo for the 52 Project was taken during one of our weekend walks. We often take Baby R out in the sling as it’s much easier than trying to collapse our huge Quinny Buzz and squeezing it into the car. It also means we don’t have to choose between pushchair or dog for precious boot space and as one the main reasons is to get him out for a walk (the other is to exercise the boys) it sort of defeats the object going on a long dog walk without the dog!
I spent many months hours researching the right sling, discovering a whole underworld of sling enthusiasm in the process, but I’m still to find the perfect one. Baby R is incredibly nosey and loves looking out onto the world but with the current advice being to keep them in a supportive froggie legs position (hip displacia and comfort for the baby) crotch danglers (as the anti forward facing slingers refer to them as) are a big no no. I ended up buying a CatBird Baby brand with the promise that I could use it facing in and out but we’re yet to find an out ward facing position that looks comfortable. That said, Baby R never protests at going in and I have a sneaky suspicion that this is his preferred method of transport which makes me glad to have only spent a small about on our 2nd hand Quinny. Plus as chief baby wearer, Hubby gets his bonding time while I’m free to snap away, much to everyone’s annoyance!

Project 52 – a photo of your child once a week, every week.
