Last month I agreed to test out an ultrasonic massager to help tone up my butt. Without giving it too much thought I agreed, then panic set in that at some point I’d have to share photos of said butt with you guys. So that completes my prereading warning. If you’d rather not see bum photos ( I’m aiming this specifically at my mum, dad, sons and brother, then I suggest giving this post a miss!)
Still with me?
Well read on.
The ASSOME! Ultrasonic Massager promises to help fight cellulite and help firm and lift your bum without having to visit a salon. I’ll be honest, I’m not too fussed about mine, I don’t see it and my boyfriend assures me its ok, but I guess, like any other 40 year old watching the 1st telltale signs of the ageing process kick in, there is always room for improvement. I saw no harm in testing out a device which would restore my derriere to its former 20-year-old self.
How does it work?
You apply the serum (photo below) to each cheek followed by the gel, set it to your desired setting and massage over. With one of the settings (LED) I used, you can’t feel anything and I had to search through the manual to check I was doing it right. It was only afterwards when there was a telltale feeling, almost a mild stinging. So I was fairly confident it was working. Just like any trip to the gym, I like that post-workout ache as a reminder you’ve made a difference.
LED gives fibroblast cells a ‘full tank of fuel’, and these old cells in the start to produce collagen and elastin to improve uneven skin tones, reduce the size of pores, and giving the skin a brighter colour.
With the other settings, you can feel a gentle buzz as it sends high-frequency radio waves that oscillate 6million times per minute to tightening skin, reducing cellulite and lightening fine lines. It’s quite easy to use, the design of the massager fits in your hand nicely and the led display looks pretty funky.
In a nutshell…
This is a 1MHz ultrasound therapy which makes use of the high-frequency vibrations to remove cellulite that is buried deep under the skin, reduce the percentage of stubborn fat cells. I’m not able to give any before and after photos yet as I’m still only halfway into testing. I would recommend, however, trying one this over the idea of targetting cellulite with creams as it goes a lot deeper to reach the fat cells. The technology makes perfect sense.
