Showing Off The River Island Mini & Boys Range

Showing Off The River Island Mini & Boys Range

I’ll level with you, I never realised that River Island even made kids clothes. They’ve always been my go to place for jeans, fitting my shape perfectly and seem withstand my perpetual jean wear-age, and now it seems that my boys can now indulge and we can be one big happy River Island family!

Fabulous, I thought, the tween has a penchant for black t-shirts and jogging bottom shorts and despite my efforts, always ends up sticking to his old faithfuls.

Not this summer though!

With a little persuasion and bribery we scoured the website together and after navigating him away from his go to colour (I’m seriously starting to worry my gothic years have filtered down through the genes) he chose some funky outfits from the River Island boys range.

There’s a great choice with both  mini (age 0-5 yrs) and boys (3-12yrs) as well as teenagers. Which is how I managed to get some matching outfits for both my tween and toddler. (it’s a mum thing and I adored the white hipster t-shirts and light weight zip hoodies I got for them both.)

What’s different with the River Island range is how trendy the outfit choice is. Two years olds can sometimes hit the grey area of in-between baby and toddler styles and as much as it pained me to see my baby looking so grown up, he got a big thumbs up from my husband and his brothers for the on-trend (get me using the lingo!) outfits.

The fit is true to size and have all washed really well. The t-shirts in particular have really been put to the test with various food stains, even after several hot washes, rounds of stain remover and tumble dries they still look great. The biggest plus point from the Tween though was the adjustable elastic waist which he still needs being on the skinny side, and not a fan of belts.

How he feels about being made to dress the same as his 2-year-old brother, however, was not welcomed with open arms but I assured him it was for one photo shoot only and we’d stick to the back garden rather than out on location. Oh the awkwardness of being 12!

I won’t waffle on too much as the photos can speak for them selves and I’ve just noticed that River Island have a sale on so I’m going back to stock up. Might even sneak a few bits in for myself and the Teenager this time!

RIVER ISLAND 3 River Island

We have been gifted some items of clothing for the purpose of this review, as always all words and photography are my own.

They look so cute! I have to admit the boys range is much better than the girls, the girls range is too grown up looking for my toddler at the moment! We’ve had a few pieces and have thought the quality is fab though! X

oooo I had no idea River Island did boys clothes! and they are really trendy too. The boys section are usually really limited so it’s great to have a new place to check out.

This is the first I have heard of River Island kid’s clothes range. I have never seen them in the shops. I enjoy shopping at River Island and I am glad there is another great place to buy quality kids clothing.
