My captured moment – new beginnings

My captured moment – new beginnings

8 months ago I stood in my bedroom trying to take the perfect photo of my newborn son. Life had come full circle and I’d found myself back in the heady, blissful (ok and somewhat painful) early days of motherhood. Trying to re-enact the poses I’d seen a hundred times before, I placed him on his tummy (don’t panic, it was just for a moment!) and snapped away. Now I know babies aren’t supposed to smile until a few months old but there’s no denying that my precious Baby R is having the most delicious dream in this photo and by shear fluke I managed to catch it.
Surely, if babies can express anger, pain and sadness they’re capable of happiness, delight and glee?
And before you say it was wind, is that really something to make a baby smile? 4 year olds, yes, but not babies!

I would agree! That is pure contentment and glee on your son’s face, and you are so lucky to have captured it at the right moment! Thanks for sharing! #magicmoments
