Living Arrows – Beach Huts

Living Arrows – Beach Huts

This week’s Living Arrows is Toddler striking a pose by my in law’s beach hut on a glorious summer’s evening.

We’d taken the boys down for fish and chips on the beach with my family and to watch a water rescue display (which included yours truly’s very brave husband who’s carried on a long tradition of our family joining the Coastguard.)

Toddler loved his week with his cousins, his development came on leaps and bounds as he interacted and watched them all playing. It’s made me realise I’m going to have to admit defeat and start going to even more toddler groups as he just loves being around other children. His baby signing has taken on a whole new level as he seems to understand so much and responds with signing back familiar words without any prompting for me. It’s amazing seeing how much he takes in, processes and understands, even getting his change mat and doing the sign for change when I ask if he needs a clean nappy!

We’ve got a quieter week planned this week before we head down to Atlantic Reach in Newquay, Cornwall next week for a much-needed mini break and to celebrate our anniversary.

Striking a pose for the living arrows series, a portrait of your child, once a week every week.

Such a poser! In all honesty he’s difficult to photograph as he’s never still.

    Oh he is gorgeous.

It’s so useful when they’re able to start signing back, isn’t it?

Mine still runs away at the mention of nappy changes though – she hates them!!

He starts off helpful then tries to wriggle away as soon as the nappy’s off!

What is it about beach huts? I love them, such a British icon.

You’re living my dream – I’ve always wanted access to a brightly-coloured beach hut! This is a great shot. Toddler sure knows how to pose, doesn’t he?!

Lol! I probably don’t appreciate it as much as I should.

I'd love to know what you think?
