10 Awesome Healthy Sweet Snack Recipes

10 Awesome Healthy Sweet Snack Recipes

I have a very sweet tooth and often crave mid morning sugary snacks which does nothing for my attempt at a healthier lifestyle. Not only does the excess sugar play havoc with my energy levels, with the sugar high often resulting with a big lethargic slump by the afternoon. It’s not setting a good example to my children who have equally sweet preferences. I’m very proud that none of them have any dental fillings and I’d like to help them maintain that honour.

My goal for the coming weeks is to try out some alternative, healthy sweet snacks using natural ingredients and sweetened with more natural sugars. With the hope of having a little more energy which lasts longer throughout the day. This isn’t about dieting, this is more about choosing healthier options, avoiding additives and knowing exactly what we’re eating.

So I’ve sourced some amazing recipes from some equally amazing blogs and websites which I’m sharing with you, should you like to try and introduce a healthier way of snacking for you and your family.  I’ll began working my way through these already and these raw chocolate almond butter fudge bars have become a firm favourite along with my own granola breakfast muffins.

‘d love to know if you have any more or if you’ve tried any?

This is something I struggle with too, by about 11 I am desperate for some sugar but if I have it then by 3pm I am practically falling asleep. I love baking and would love to try baking a healthier option to my usual cakes and brownies. Love the look of the granola breakfast muffins and banana snacking cake. The spiced pumpkin latte sounds good too. Definitely going to give some of these a try xx #TwinklyTuesday

I can personally vouch for the breakfast muffins (obs!) but they’re all amazing and I don’t feel so guilty after eating / drinking them
