Winter sun on Beer beach.

winter sun

Day 2 of project 365.

This was taken during a late morning stroll on the beach in Beer, Devon. The winter sun creating silhouettes of the fishing boats. We often take a walk down there, I spend many summer evenings swimming with my boys and lunching in our beach hut. regular readers will notice a lot of my photos taken there, but my most favourite time is a cold sunny Winters day when the dog can roam free, the days when you stop and say hi to the other beach goers, if there are any and when the world seems to stand still.

I’m also linking in with Mummy B’s 52 week challenge under the title of beginnings. This photo was taken on the 2nd day of a new year. The beginning of a year of change and anticipation. Despite being Winter the sense of new beginnings hangs in  the air.

Do you have a favourite local place you can go and gather your thoughts?

Thank you Rebecca. The chalkenge is a good chance to get the practice in.

We had a lovely family holiday in Beer earlier this year. That is a gorgeous photo and is bringing back some happy memories for me of our time on the beach there 🙂
