This is no time to be modest, we’re a nation of hidden talents, (BGT is testament to that!) and NPower have decided it’s time we unleashed those super powers on the world. Maybe you’re a star juggler, can touch your toes while texting your teen to come downstairs for dinner ( I absolutely do not do that ) or can manage 10 press ups with all of your children balanced on your back. It’s your time to shine!
I had to dig deep to find mine, other than keeping three children and a dog alive. I’m just your average mum. My multitasking skills are pretty average; I can reply to emails, switch electricity suppliers and cook a meal at the same time while engaging in a meaningful conversation with the toddler. You too? Like I said, just your average, everyday mum stuff.
But then my light bulb moment came, as I carried out my daily routine of exercises to shift the wobbly wobbly 3 babies mum tum. In between puffing, panting and a few little swears I realised that my skill of planking while the toddler played hide and seek then sat on my back chanting “horsey, horsey” is probably something I should be pretty damn proud of. 6 weeks a go I could barely hold this position for 15 seconds, let alone 5 minutes AND keep my son occupied and away from the temptation to put all his toys down the toilet. ” Look Mummy they’re having a wee.” True story.
So here you go, proof that I have a itsy bitsy super power.
And to celebrate these talents, npower has enlisted the help of Peter Andre, hubba hubba. (Did I say that out loud?) to find and share Britain’s everyday superpowers. The wonderful, quirky, clever, interesting, not to mention practical skills that families have. Word on the street is planking’s one of the top super powers in a list of super powers. (Not a true story)
Annnnnnnnnnnd……. Families in London, Birmingham, Manchester and Newcastle will be able to head down to the npower superpower roadshow to share their everyday superpowers. Where you can show off your super powers to Peter Andre himself.
Roadshow dates are.
o Birmingham -Central Birmingham – Friday 28th to Sunday 30th Oct. (Talent there on 29th October)
o London – Bluewater – Friday 4th to Sunday 6th November (Talent there on 5th November)

Don’t fret if you aren’t within travel distance of any of the above mentioned road shows, which quite frankly, are worth a flight to see Mr Mysterious Girl himself, then just go to www.npower.com/superpowers where you can share your family’s everyday superpower and be in with a chance to win a gadget bundle worth £25,000 to super power your home
