My Sunday Photo – Croyde Beach

My Sunday Photo – Croyde Beach

This week’s Sunday photo was taken during an evening treck to Croyde beach in North Devon. We’d had a fabulous day at the Croyde View Festival but the kids were yearning for the sandy coast which they could see below.

We were accompanied by my sister and her children and when together, our kids just have the most amazing fun. Real back to basics, childhood fun, which on this occasion was simply jumping the waves and running through warm sea puddles.

There’s little more else I can say about that moment, it was just the simplest thing which made the biggest memory.

It’s lovely seeing them just splashing around and not having the worry of getting home for school really adds to the carefree feeling

Thank you, it’s an iphone shot which is a little annoying after dragging my DSLR around all day!

I love your photo, paddling in the sea is so much fun. In fact I can remember paddling at Croyde beach many years ago wtih my mom.

Gorgeous! I love Croyde Beach, there’s just something about it isn’t there. There used to be a webcam where you could watch the waves, and I used to have it on my desktop at work when I worked in a boring office!

Wow, I have got to see if that webcam is still going! It’s such a beautiful stretch of coastline. I live down on the south and it’s mainly pebbles so having a sandy beach is such a novelty

I think that’s the appeal to me too, no phones, xboxes or laptops, right back to basics!
