My Boy and Me – Living Arrows

My Boy and Me – Living Arrows

This week’s Living Arrows is a little different, it’s not very often I appear on these pages as I’m usually the face behind the camera but I’m teaching Tween  how to use a DSLR, or the big one as it’s otherwise known,  as he’s always taking photos of his little brother on his Tablet.  He’s shown an interest in photography, which I’m keen to nourish and took this one as I lay on the bed with the Toddler, singing his favourite tunes while nursing a heavy cold.  It wasn’t one of my finer musical moments which is probably why he was so easily distracted!

It’s not as hard as you imagine and there’s so much help for using the settings on other blogs and Pinterest.

That is such a beautiful photo, a real moment captured in time. I think the tween is a natural, definitely worth letting him keep practising.

For a first attempt your tween has done a fantastic job and I love how he has blurred out the background. I would love an article on how you use a DLSR.

Tween will be a fantastic photographer, such a naturally beautiful picture. I love how children can inherit their parents talents, be good to see what else Tween captures 🙂 x

That’s a lovely photo. Impressive for someone so young. I’m hoping N carries on his interest in using my camera, although at the moment he’s limited to the compact.

    • 6th December 2015 / 8:16 pm

I think the compact is a good way to start and learn all about composition.

I love that he’s showing an interest in photography! That photo is really lovely. I wish u didn’t more time with my ‘big camera’ but I just don’t have the time right now xx

  18. 7th December 2015 / 7:46 pm

Awww beautiful photo! One to treasure for sure. It’s a good idea teaching the teen to use the dslr camera, I might do the same 🙂 xx

I think it’s nice for kids to have a go, the younger the better too. We need more young photographers

I'd love to know what you think?
