This week’s Living Arrows photo was taken at sunrise, when it was just me and my boy and the rest of the house slept. I love these moments more than anything. I’m an early bird and never mind waking early to starting the day slowly and I suspect by my son’s cheery disposition from the moment his eyes are open, he’s the same.
The only rule for waking mum at a time that some would find slightly irritating is that mum isn’t fully functioning until a cup of coffee has been consumed.
And then it’s all systems go.
You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth
Oh what a beautiful photo! If you’re going to be awake at such an ungodly hour, this is definitely one good thing to come of it 🙂 x x #livingarrows
thanks Mim, I love your positive spin on it!
Lovely photo. I get N sorted for the morning (breakfast and check he’s dressed and teeth done) then go back to bed until my alarm!
Oh look at that gorgeous face!! 🙂 So cute!!
This is such a beautiful photo and I love the quote at the end x
This photo is beautiful; I’d love to know what he was watching
i love to lie and say the sunrise but it was Something Special. Its the only programme he likes and so gives me 5 minutes to drink my coffee and contemplate the day, or take photos!
What a beautiful photograph. I’ve become more of a morning person since I’ve had my little smiler waking me up at 6am, not much choice really! But when I see that big grin as I force my eyes open it’s all worth it!
Thanks Rebecca, you soon adjust to them don’t you!
Lovely photo, it really has an ‘early morning’ feel about it! And I’m with you on the coffee front, once I’ve had my first cup of the day I’m good to go! x #LivingArrows
I’m sure my son’s next words will be wait until I’ve finished my coffee!
I love the lighting in this photo, it’s gorgeous! #livingarrows
Such cute photos. My son now knows that he shouldn’t ask me to do anything before the first cup of tea has been drunk.
I started my blog in the early months of T’s life when he used to wake religiously at 5:30am and we had time together downstairs until the rest of the house awoke. They were some of my favourite times. Gorgeous photo – love the light x
Thanks Donna, that’s exactly when I started mine too
Amazing photography, I wonder what he is thinking as you took the photo.
Beautiful photo
Thanks Jessica
