This ones for all you more experienced ladies, by which I mean anyone hovering in the thirties and above age range. It’s a range of skin care from professional artist to the stars Elizabeth Grant, which has been redefining skincare for decades with products featuring her own exclusive ingredient – Torricelum; a blend of vitamins, proteins, botanicals and anti oxidants.
I’ve been testing out her Hydra Cell Active face and eye creams as well as serums. (So in the pro serums camp right now.) The key ingredients bind up to 1000x their weight in water, helping to hydrate and improve the look of your skin by creating a plumping effect while firming the appearance of skin.
The creams themselves are very light and easily absorbed which compared to my usual face creams, targeted towards my age, is something which you wonder will truly deliver the results. But the flip side is that you don’t have a gloopy, sticky feeling and can get straight on applying make up rather than wait for it to be absorbed.
The routine begins with an Intensive Hydra Treatment, an activating liquid which you apply after cleansing and then follow with the moisturiser and eye cream. You get some decent sized pots and the plus is not having to take away separate day and night creams which travelling, I really liked the handy spatula too. Nothing worse than thinking of all the germs which linger in opened face creams.
So does it work? I guess that’s what you really wanted to know. Well it’s been over 4 weeks of using it now and I feel like my skin’s looking ok. It’s probably taken a bit of a battering of the summer months but there’s no glaringly obvious wrinkles which have appeared. I guess the biggest difference I’ve noticed is how much clearer my skin looks and I’ve not suffered any breakouts at all, despite going through the mother of all stressful situations recently!
It’s also a great makeup base which precedes my faithful Bare Minerals face powders. It’s actually a good match for those who use mineral powders as it’s absorbed so quickly, there’s no danger of the powder looking uneven.
