I was already familiar with the Dettol Baby Blanket Campaign from donating my own blankets back in November. The idea is that you donate a blanket, which will be washed in Dettol Anti-Bacterial Laundry Cleanser, before being given to a baby in need and or in poverty. I’ve witnessed first hand, through my professional role, how poverty effects babies, children and families and I love the idea that something as simple as a blanket can provide a comforting, happy start for a baby. It’s something you take for granted when you have your own, each of my boys have their own special baby blanket which they left the hospital with, and I’ve still got Tween and Teenager’s as keep sakes. I’ll be donating a couple of Baby R’s again and he no longer needs the crib blankets and I urge you to donate any you no longer need for such a worthy cause.
If that’s convinced you, you simply post a baby blanket to the freepost address below;

Then share on Facebook with Dettol’s Mission for Health your special baby blanket memories and photographs. Or tweet @DettolBlanket remembering to include the hash tag #sharethememories. Once collected, Dettol Anti-bacterial Laundry Cleanser will ditch the bacteria by ensuring the baby blankets are hygienically washed before being re-distributed to families in need. Dettol Anti-bacterial Laundry Cleanser has also pledged to donate £1 to Sparks for every blanket collected to raise much needed funds for UK families who are affected by serious illness or disability.
I received no money for this post.
