This photo was taken in the summer as an homage to the latest addition to grand-pack, Baby R. I try to meet up with my sister every school holiday as our children are the best of friends (as are we), seeing how close they are is amazing. We could be any where and they’d have fun but as we’re very lucky to live by the sea, we usually spend our days on the beach where the children swim and make beach towel dens. Teenager is getting too old for the long, lazy beach days so he tends to just pop over in between skateboarding and mucking around in the sea with his mates. It was during one of his quick visits that we decided to re stage an old photo taken in deckchairs on the same beach when it was just the 4 oldest boys. We had to act quick as my niece was in no mood to pose when there was a baby in the vicinity that needed cuddling and my own little Baby R was sunscreen-less so not wanting him to get sunburnt with in his first few months of life was quite high priority. My sister and I have promised our mum, there will be no more grandchildren so this photo sits pride of place as a canvas in her hall way.
That is, until my brother decides to inject a few more theatrical book-worms into the world.
