A Yummy Mummy’s Festval Glamping Checklist

If you're not a happy camper why not give glamping a go this festival and camping season with this yummy mummy galloping checklist

I’m one of those people who gave a little fist pump when the whole glamping thing hit the market. I love the idea of revisiting the festival scene with my kids but I don’t love the idea of giving up my home comforts for a holiday under the stars.

This is my midway compromise and with the right kit, I could be gently persuaded to pop on my Hunters and brave the porta loos once again. Right tools for the job ad all that. So I’ve clobbered together a yummy mummies festival glamping  checklist for anyone thinking of doing the same.

Starting with the tent, my worry is not being able to find it in the dark, but this  giant beige and burgundy teepee tent will be easy to spot and have enough room for you and your family as well as all your home comforts. Speaking of which,  I just adore this  cotton roll up bed from Planet Camping, There’s no need for a pump and no chance of it deflating overnight as well as not having that annoying squeaky airbed noise! Topped with an Outwell Camper Sleeping Bag which comes with an in built pillow and you’re laughing! (or should that be sleeping?)

You can really go to town on making your space look inviting and standing out from the crowds with some Solar powered fairy lights  from Amazon to run down the guide ropes or hold up with some ground steaks. And while you sit under the warm colourful glow,  a 100% lambswool tartan rug (I found this one at Dunedin Cashmere) is a must to help keep you comfortable and warm. Use it as an under blanket or over blanket to sleep on too.

There’s no need to slum it with flimsy plastic cups either, Emma Bridgewater melamine cups with pretty heart design and Happy Jackson travel mugs  will brighten the gloomiest of days and while antibacterial hand wash goes without saying, as a real treat for your face, this neroli spritzer from Oleo is a beautiful smelling toner which will keep your skin hydrated, fresh and clean, not to mention helping you freshen up after a late night.

You might not be able to guarantee the weather but if you’ve got a few little luxuries you can relax and enjoy your al fresco mini break.
